Ever have that tug-of-war feeling inside of you?
Should I or shouldn’t I?
I like the seemingly safe and snug bubble that my new husband and I have created and chosen to live in for a little over a year.
We have COMPLETELY different backgrounds. He grew up as the compliant, obedient, other-centered, kind, gentle, forgiving, merciful, seeking-God’s-heart, full of integrity and character kind of man. I grew up as the…well, let’s just say I was the very opposite.
Fast Forward.
No matter what your background may have been – solid or sandy foundation – we all have our strengths and weaknesses. We all make good choices and we all make mistakes. And we all need to encourage each other in a loving and kind way before, during, and after good or not so good choices are made.
I’ve been mulling over whether or not I should let our private bubble leak out a little. To share some of our daily joys and trials. To share parts of our life in hopes of discouraging others from making mistakes like we have made and to encourage believers who have already made poor choices to not give up – to know that God still has plans for you, still wants a relationship with you and He sees past your sins because you are clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
You are still lovable, even when the world tells you that you are not.
