You’ll have to excuse me. But I just LOVE the blur in photos that surround the main subject. That blur is called “bokeh“, which is a word I don’t like using because 1) I can’t pronounce it and 2) it seems pretentious. So I always refer to it simply as “the blur”.
I completely gravitate to that style of shot. I absolutely can’t help myself!
I’ve been trying to practice a lot with the Av setting on my new camera. Studying different samples of what different combos look like. [ auto, no flash; aperture priority, no flash, auto with flash below: ]
pssst…I hate using the flash, so that’s hot on my list of things to improve on for low light photography
I still don’t know what I’m doing, but I sure do love that blur 🙂
